Spain announced jobless rate 13-year high

by --

Spain announced Friday its jobless rate surged to a 13-year record above 20 percent at the end of 2010, the highest level in the industrialized world, as the economy gasped for air.
The national statistics institute said in January that it stood at 20.33 percent at the end of 2010.
THE FOLLOWING IS NOT SHOWING INFLATION -- WHAT THE HELL IS THE EU DOING? They are trying to jimmy-up the populace into smirky grimaces of panic and crabby shows-of-nastiness and generally bad moods. MAKES THEIR WEALTHY CLASS FEEL EVEN *MORE* SUPERIOR

Where to visit in Japan?

I am going to Japan for around 3 weeks and was wondering where people recommend I visit. I am locking in around 10 days in Tokyo, when my friend will be there, but am wanting advice as to how I should spend the rest of my time. I am keen to spend some time in Kyoto but there is clearly so much else to do and I'm struggling to figure out exactly what.

While I am interested in visiting some shrines and temples, I can only do that for so long. I really appreciate beautiful sceneries and cool cities. If anyone has been to Japan and were blown away by some places, or really…

Hello Nick, The must see places in Japan are Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Kanazawa, Takayama, shirakawago, Hiroshima and Miyajima. Pick up a good travel guide like Lonely Planet Japan before you visit as this will help you plan your trip to see and Do in Japan

Day trips in Japan, suggestions?

I have multiple questions.

Should I go on a trip to Hokkaido by myself or find some friends to go with?
On that same Hokkaido trip, should I extend it to include some parts of Tohoku?
If I do, what are some good things to do in Tohoku?

Other things to do:
I want to travel a bit more, and thinking perhaps day or two day trips might be a good idea.
Where are some good places to go? My home base is Osaka.
Please no suggestions for around Kansai, because I'm waiting until August when I can get a 3 day Kansai Spring Pass which will let…

I live in Hokkaido.
I think that I had better see the sights of Hokkaido for three days if you can run.
Tohoku region is the same, too.
Where is the spot that you want to see the sights of?
If movement time and distance, the time of the train want to know it, please ask me a question.
About the contents of a concrete schedule, I think that I can give you some advice.

Have you been to JAPAN. tips, help, guide me plz.?

Hi, I'm 19 and I really x99 wanna go to japan, by myself for atleast 1 whole week. I really wanna ask a few stuff.
aside from the plain ticket. how much money should I bring?
how much clothes should I pack(do they have laundry mats?)
what's the best time to go there? month/season?
aside from a hotel, like maybe, are there people willing to take gaijins(foreigners) in their houses?

so I dont wanna go on further. just give me tips and guides or how you survived your trip to japan.

I make one suggestion to all newbies to Japan. That is travel light.Even in winter you should not overload yourself with clothes/luggage (a major hassle on trains/shinkansen).Summer is very humid and hot, it is best to avoid cotton clothes and wear the new age materials that outdoor shops sell. They are easy to hand wash and dry very quickly.Take deodorant from home with you.Spring and Autumn are great , take casual clothes and layer for the cooler days.Winter can vary from very cool (depends on where you are) to freezing and below. For example, in January 2010 I was at the top of Mt. Aso…

Traveling around Japan for cheap while having a Student Visa?

I have been in a study abroad program since March, and in August I would like to travel all over Japan before I have to return to CA. (I want to go from Sendai to Hiroshima to Osaka to Kyoto to Tokyo) I know some people with tourist visas can purchase the JR rail pass overseas, but at there any other options for those of us who cannot purchase those beside buses?

This Seishun 18 Ticket is a good option for budget travelers.
